In-Home Dog Walking & Pet Sitting

Your Dog Stays Home. We Keep Them Happy.

In-home dog walking and pet sitting from a trusted local caregiver — not a stranger from an app.

Serving local families since 2019 — your dog’s routine, protected.

Why Paws & Stay

“You deserve more than a 4.8-star stranger. Your dog deserves someone who knows their name.”

We built this for the dog owners apps forgot.

Every app promises trust, then sends you someone different every week. We started Paws & Stay because we were tired of hearing the same story: a nervous dog, a missed routine, a stranger with a badge and no relationship.

One caregiver. Every visit. Always.

We work with a small roster of clients so every dog gets the same familiar face, the same walk route, the same midday nap spot. We send photo updates, follow your routines, and answer our phone. Because that’s what real care looks like.

Getting Started

Simple from the start.

We meet your dog — for free.

Book a free meet-and-greet at your home. We spend 30 minutes getting to know your dog, learning their personality, quirks, and routine. No pressure. No commitment until you feel good about the fit.

We build a schedule around your life.

Whether you need daily walks or full care while you travel, we build a routine that works for your dog and your calendar. One conversation covers everything — feeding times, medication, emergency contacts, vet information.

Travel with real peace of mind.

Every visit, you get a photo update and a quick report — what your dog ate, how the walk went, how they seemed. You can ask questions anytime. We answer. Because we’re not an app — we’re a person who cares about your dog.

Client Stories

What dog owners say about real care.

I’ve tried Rover. I’ve tried Wag. The person who shows up is different every time and my dog would hide under the bed. With Paws & Stay, she runs to the door when she hears the knock.

Sarah R.

Dog mom to Maple, 3-year-old Shih Tzu

I travel every other week for work. The photo updates come before I even think to worry. My golden has the same sitter, the same walk, the same everything — he doesn’t even notice I’m gone.
DM

David M.

Dog dad to Buddy, 5-year-old Golden Retriever

Our rescue was too anxious for a kennel. Paws & Stay was the first sitter who took the time to build trust before ever picking up a leash. That meant everything.

Common Questions

Honest answers, no runaround.

Do you serve solo dogs only, or do you take multi-dog households?

We happily care for multi-dog households — in fact, it's often easier since the dogs keep each other company during visits. We ask about the pack dynamic in our free meet-and-greet so we can plan accordingly.

Will my dog always have the same caregiver?

Yes. That's one of our core commitments. You'll meet your caregiver at the meet-and-greet, and they will be the person who shows up at every visit. We don't use a rotating pool of sitters.

What happens if there's an emergency while I'm traveling?

We have a written emergency plan for every client before their first visit — your vet's contact, a backup emergency contact, and your preferred emergency veterinary clinic. We notify you immediately and get your dog the help they need, then follow up with details.

How far in advance do I need to book?

For regular daily walks, we ask for at least one week's notice to build your routine into our schedule. For travel sits, we recommend booking 2–3 weeks ahead, especially during holidays. That said, reach out even if your trip is soon — we'll tell you honestly what we can accommodate.

What areas do you serve?

We work within a defined local service radius so we can guarantee timely, consistent visits. Contact us with your zip code and we'll confirm availability in your neighborhood — we prefer to stay local rather than stretch thin.

Are you insured?

Yes. We carry full pet-sitter professional liability insurance and all caregivers pass a background check before their first visit. We'll share documentation on request.

Still have a question? We’re real people who answer our messages.
